A forty-days-old baby from Zavidovici, who was positive for coronavirus, is currently in Zenica Cantonal Hospital (KBZ) – is confirmed to Fena news agency by hospital’s director Rasim Skomorac.

This is by far the youngest person and the first baby to have coronavirus infection detected in Canton of Zenica-Doboj.

“The baby is placed in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology, which we have prepared for coronavirus positive patients. The mother is not positive, so she could not be admitted, and the baby is under the supervision of our pediatricians,” says director Skomorac.

He notes that the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology has been redeployed to house coronavirus positive patients because it “is located in the basement and has a separate entrance.”
