Boone hospital monitors patient for Ebola infection
Boone, N.C. ? Watauga Medical Center officials said late Thursday that they are monitoring a patient who showed up at the Boone hospital earlier in the day for a possible Ebola infection.

The Appalachian Regional Healthcare System in Boone says special Ebola protocols have been put in place after a patient who had recently travelled to Africa came in with a fever.
The Watauga County hospital says the person is being monitored and there is not a threat to the community.
