Three days after the end of the quarantine to contain the spread of the coronavirus, Bolivia exceeded a thousand positive cases of Covid-19.
The Ministry of Health reported that up to eight o'clock on Monday night, 64 new cases of coronaviruses were reported, bringing the total number of patients nationwide to 1,014.
“We reported 64 new positive cases, corresponding to 28 in Santa Cruz, 17 in La Paz, 13 in Oruro, five in Beni and one in Chuquisaca. With these data, the accumulated total amounts to 1,014 cases, ”reported the national head of the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health, Virgilio Prieto.
The totality of cases is distributed as follows: Santa Cruz with 553; La Paz, 185; Cochabamba, 78; Oruro, 92; Potos?, 26; Pando, 12; Tarija, three; Chuquisaca, three, and Beni; 62.
The official said that today there were three new deaths, all in the department of Santa Cruz, making a total of 53 deaths nationwide.
He also noted that there are 98 patients nationwide.
