While going through this week's fatalities from India, this morning, I came across these descriptions that I think deserve attention;
The first is a 25 yo woman who visited Southern India and developed symptoms on the 9th of July. She died in Mumbai on the 19th.
"Since her platelet count was quite low and she was bleeding profusely from the nose. The doctors assumed that she was suffering with dengue. "

The second is a 14 yo girl from Mulund admitted to hospital in Mumbai on the 16th of July, she died the next day.
"The girl had been admitted to the hospital on July 16 as she was suffering from high fever. ?The patient was put on Tamiflu the day she was admitted. She was also
bleeding from the nose, which is a symptom of leptospirosis. So she was tested for leptospirosis, swine flu and dengue. But she tested for positive only for swine flu,?

I get the feeling that the doctors are being surprised by hemorrhagic symptoms of H1N1.
