No analysis of death causes in city

BHOPAL: Concerned about which disease is most likely to kill a person in the city of lakes. No way, there is no comprehensive study about the causes of deaths in the city. Most cities do maintain a list of fatal diseases so that the people are aware.
Mumbaikars, for example, know lifestyle diseases have emerged as bigger killers than infectious ones.
However, lack of proper analysis of the death registry by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) coupled with rudimentary methods of record keeping at state-run hospitals, Bhopal cannot find the answer. Without trends policy makers cannot make adjustments to improve service to the patients in need.
