Benton County has experienced its second H1N1 flu-related fatality, county officials said Friday afternoon.
County officials said a 52-year-old female Corvallis resident died on Dec. 28 at Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland. The patient - who arrived at Legacy Emanuel on Dec. 14 - had a history of diabetes, and the cause of death was listed as multiple complications secondary to H1N1 influenza. The woman was not initially identified.
