State of affairs A/H1N1-griep on 30/06/09:
Three new cases confirmed
The Inter-Ministerial Commission Influenza know, there are 11 samples were
introduced in the laboratory of the Scientific Institute of Public Health. Three
it yielded a positive result for the A/H1N1-griep. A fourth sample tested
positive for seasonal flu. The other 7 samples tested negative.
The first case involves a man from the province of Walloon Brabant on Monday, June 22 is
returned from the United States. He felt the first flu symptoms (cough and
feeling unwell) at Saturday, June 27. On Monday, June 29, he consulted his doctor, who in
consultation with a gezondheidsinspecteur the Community has decided to test them
perform. Today, the test is positive for A/H1N1-griep. The man was not
infectious during the flight.
The second case is a young man from Vlaams-Brabant. On Saturday, June 27 he
returned from the United Kingdom and Sunday, June 28 he felt the flu symptoms
(fever and feeling unwell). On Monday, June 29, he consulted his doctor, who in
consultation with a gezondheidsinspecteur the Community has decided to test them
perform.
The third case involves a boy who Monday, June 29 via Paris is returned from Hong
Kong. He felt the first flu symptoms (fever, cough and feel) on Friday
June 26 and on Monday, June 29 consulted a physician.
These three individuals are isolated at home and receive appropriate treatment with antiviral
means. Their health is of course precisely the following days
followed. All persons with whom they have close contact and be contacted
receive preventive treatment.
Since both the young man who returned from the United Kingdom as the boy
who returned from Hong Kong may be infected during their trip, the
health authorities to contact the other passengers who have a risk.
Until today in Belgium, 49 cases of A/H1N1-griep. The Commission remains
continuously inform the press about new possible cases in our country.
