As of Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, 83.7% (3,878,423) of eligible people 12 and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 75.6% (3,504,402) received their second dose.
In addition, 84.4% (3,650,649) of all eligible adults in B.C. have received their first dose and 76.7% (3,318,443) received their second dose.
B.C. is reporting 724 new cases of COVID-19, including five epi-linked cases, for a total of 162,693 cases in the province.
There are 5,640 active cases of COVID-19 in the province and 155,096 people who tested positive have recovered. Of the active cases, 149 individuals are in hospital and 83 are in intensive care. The remaining people are recovering at home in self-isolation...
