The article takes a rather more blase look at Ebola than current events may justify, but is informative nonetheless.

Translation: Be aware and have a plan, because unlike Ebola, this is for real. The Pacific is pulling away from North America at a rate of 2.5 inches per year, and it doesn't care about what we've built in the way.
