While regional markets around the world are traveling together, some, such as Japan, are clearly stronger than others.
STOCK MARKETS AROUND the world have tumbled together. But now as they churn about in trading ranges, differences in relative strength have emerged.
This does not forecast new bull markets for any of them anytime soon, but it does tell us the ones with better odds to lead once the current financial crisis is over.
By finding leaders on a relative basis, we find those markets that have garnered better investor interest and theoretically better support. And if global markets have another plunge coming, today's leaders are likely to have a better chance to resist it.
