Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department today (March 30) announced that based on preliminary tests, one of the Barn Swallow were seized in Yuen Long suspected of carrying the H5 bird flu virus is currently being further confirmatory tests. Dead bird is 3 26 in Mai Po, Yuen Long Castle Peak Road section has been seized.
Fisheries and Conservation Department said that the Barn Swallow in general to visit Hong Kong in spring and summer. Mai Po Nature Reserve temporarily closed from tomorrow, 21, will be closely monitored, depending on the situation and review the closure period.
