District wise Flood Situation
Flood Situation in North and Middle Region of the Country:

Kurigram
Flood situation is normal. Water level of all the rivers is flowing under the danger level. Previously Vurungamari, Rajibpur, Nageshwri, Fulbari, Sadar, Ulipur, Chilmari and Low land and 58 Char area?s unions of Roumari were flooded and water logged due to the upstream water and heavy rainfall for last few days. Total 69 shelters were opened for the affected people. 289 people are still remained into 4 shelters at Chilmari Upazilla. Rest of the people returned to their own home. District administration allocated 1610.700 MT GR rice and 2500000 Taka to distribute among the affected people of those Upazillas.

Gaibandha
Flood situation is normal. All the rivers are flowing below the danger level. 30 unions of 5 upazilla and 1 ward of the low land of gaibandha sadar are already inundated previously. 3 people died of flood. 1500000 taka and 491 MT rice are sub-allocated to distribute among the affected people of these upazillas. Relief activities are ongoing.

Bogra
Water receded from the flooded areas. All the rivers are flowing below the danger level. Water receded from the flooded areas. Low land of Sariakandi, Dhunot and Sonatola upazila were flooded previously. People from low laying areas of flood affected unions who had taken shelter on local school, flood shelter and embankment made by Water Development Board returned to their homes. 1 people died due to flood. District administration has allocated 123.280 MT GR rice for the people of flood affected upazilas.

Jamalpur
Flood situation is improved. Water level of all the rivers is flowing below the danger level. 40 unions and 3 Purashava of 7 upazillas including Deoanganj, Islampur, Sadar, Madarganj, Melandah, Sarishabari, and Bakshiganj were inundated previously. 1 people died in the district. Water receded from flooded areas. People previously had taken shelter into embankment and road already returned to their own home. 258.00 MT rice and 1500000 Taka are allocated by district administration for instant distribution. Relief distribution is ongoing.

Sirajganj
The Jamuna is increased by 2 cm but flowing 82cm below danger level. Situation is normal. Previously, low lands and char areas of Kazipur, Sadar, Raiganj, Ullapara, Shahjadpur, Kamarkhand, Belkuchi, Chouhali and Tarash upazilla were inundated. Total 52 shelters opened where 5745 people took shelter but now people are returning to their own home. Currently 2010 people remained into 13 shelters. 1 person died due to flood. 467 MT Rice and BDT 1101000 have been allocated for distribution among affected of different upazila. Relief activity is ongoing. The situation is under observation and monitoring by district administration.

Flash Flood Situation in North-East Region of the Country

Sylhet:
Flood situation is improved in all upazilas. The Surma and the Kushiara are continuing to recede and flowing below the danger level. 1532 sq. km areas of 12 upazilas are inundated. Total death is 3. All people returned from 69 shelters opened previously for flood. 157 medical teams were formed but now 70 teams are providing health related support to flood affected people. Affected all people are getting treatment. GR Rice 809.420 MT, GR Cash BDT 2327400 and House building grant BDT 56000 have been allocated by the District Administration. Relief activity is continuing.

Sunamganj
The Surma is receding and flowing below the danger level. Situation is getting normal. Previously 23 unions of Chatak, Doarabazar and Biswambarpurupazila inundated as water level of surma increased due to upstream torrential water. 69 MT Rice and BDT 400000 have been allocated for the affected 3 upazilas. Relief operation is continuing.
Flash Flood and Hill slide Situation in South-East Region of the Country

Chittagong
No damage reported yet due to the rainfall of 14.07.12. Flood situation is normal now. Low land areas of 8 upazillas were inundated previously due to the heavy rainfall, upstream water from hills and the breach of embankment. Total death toll is 37. Total1001.500 MT GR rice and BDT 60,00,000 GR cash have been distributed among the affected people of those upazilas including the city corporation. District administration is continuing relief activities.

Cox?s Bazar
Situation is normal now. Previously low land areas of 8 upazillas were inundated due to heavy rainfall and upstream water. Total 47 people (Landslide-24, Lightening-05, Wall collapse-05 and drowned to water-13) died due to landslide, wall collapse, lightening and drowned to water. A total of BDT 940000 provided to the 47 deceased family where BDT 20000 to the each family. 689 MT GR Rice and BDT 2890672 have been distributed among affected people. Along with this 205 sack flatten rice, 100 molasses, 200 pcs Saree, 100 pcs lungi have been distributed among affected. 58000 affected people from 137 shelters already returned to their home. Relief operation is continuing by the District administration.

Bandarban
Overall situation is improved. Water receded from all areas. Due to heavy rainfall and upstream water since 25-06-2012 low land of 7 Upazillas were inundated. and 47,077 people of 12,215 families are affected. 38 people are dead due to hill slide. People previously taken shelter have returned to their own house from the 19 shelters. Relief activities are ongoing by district administration. 1431500 taka and 345 MT rice is sub-allocated to distribute among the affected people.
