Nine cases of H1N1 have been confirmed this year in Bahia. Five cases were in Santa Rita, three in El Salvador and one in Itabuna. Another 18 cases and three deaths are being investigated by state health secretary.
Other diseases - 101 were confirmed cases of dengue this year in serious condition. The death toll reaches six. Brumado Salvador and in the southwest, are the cities with the largest number of cases.
The Department of Health announced the state is also the number of people infected with leptospirosis, a disease transmitted by rat urine, and more common in the rainy season. This year 21 cases were confirmed in the state, 13 in Salvador. In the capital killed two people.
