SALTSPRING ISLAND, B.C. ? An outbreak of the deadly bacteria C. difficile at a Saltspring Island care centre has put the Vancouver Island Health Authority on alert.

The agency says four cases have been reported at the Lady Minto Hospital acute care centre, prompting the declaration of an outbreak at the hospital...
