The B.C. Centre for Disease Control issued a public warning Tuesday about botulism-contaminated watermelon jelly after a Vancouver Island woman was hospitalized with the potentially deadly disease...
...The centre believes the woman's disease is the result of eating contaminated watermelon jelly, prepared by a company called Jamnation Fine Foods. Anyone with the jelly is advised to discard it immediately.
The jelly was sold in 120millilitre jars at a charity booth set up in Duncan and operated by the Huntington's Research Foundation. It is believed the jelly was sold at other charity booths throughout B.C. during 2010...
