Azerbaijan prevented illegal trade in wild birds - Ecology Ministry

Employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan jointly with the employees of the police department Bilasuvar region prevented the illegal trade in wild birds, the report said the Ministry of Ecology.

During the raid in Sabirabad region were detained villagers Gasimbeyli Rovshan Novruzov and Mirjavadov Hashimov illegally transporting ducks and 690 coots. Detainees have acquired wild bird hunters near Lake Sarisu Imishli district for sale in Astara.

In connection with measures to prevent bird flu since 2005, the country banned hunting of birds. In the current hunting season, employees of the Ministry of Ecology detained more than 60 violators of the law "On Hunting", seized 51 hunting rifle.
