Autopsy of Marshall County woman reveals H1N1 virus
Tribune Staff Report

PLYMOUTH ? A 30-year-old Marshall County woman who died Nov. 3 tested positive for the H1N1 flu virus after an autopsy was conducted by the South Bend Medical Foundation.

Marshall County Coroner William Cleavenger confirmed the woman also had other health conditions that could have led to her death.

"I don?t want people to think H1N1 was the definitive cause of death because more than likely it wasn?t," he said.

Testing for the H1N1 virus has become a standard test during autopsies, Cleavenger said.

Further testing for a definitive cause of death will not be completed for another four to six weeks.
