Tightened corona measures in force since midnight
At midnight, the tightened measures to contain SARS-CoV-2, which the federal government ordered nationwide to prevent a second lockdown, come into force, as Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (?VP) has recently explained in view of the sharp increase in the number of infections in an international comparison. “What we are experiencing is the beginning of the second wave,” warned Kurz on Sunday.

So far 33,159 sufferers, 756 died and 26,760 recovered. 226 hospitalized, 44 of them intensive. 463 new infections across Austria
So far there have been 33,159 positive test results in Austria. As of today (September 13, 2020, 9:30 a.m.), 756 people across Austria have died as a result of the corona virus and 26,760 have recovered. Currently, 226 people are in hospital treatment due to the corona virus and 44 of them are in intensive care units.
