Australian Govt Media Updates- pandemic phase PROTECT

Re: Australian Govt Media Updates- pandemic phase PROTECT

the decline continues. Hospitalizations below 400 now.

It had stayed at a high lever over several weeks (5-10?)
other than in New Zealand, where the peak and decline were rapid.

I assume this is due to the largeness of the country and several
regions peaking at several times.

Well, the data of #hospitalizations for 7 regions were given,
but I didn't collect them.

Is there a chart somewhere showing the #hospitalizations over
time for the 7 (regions/provinces/counties/states?)

And the total number of deaths from all causes during that wave,
was it larger than in previous years ?

Re: Australian Govt Media Updates- pandemic phase PROTECT

thanks. That's good for Queensland. We had New South Wales earlier.
I wonder why we have the double-peak in Australia as compared
with one peak in New Zealand. Is it just that different regional
one-peak curves with peaks at different times overlap ?
Or is it weather-related or school-closures or such ?

what I still want is a chart of ILI (or hospitalizations or such)
for the 6? states plus NZ in one chart so we can compare.

And the total number of deaths from all causes for the wave-period.
So we can better estimate the CFR.

Re: Australian Govt Media Updates- pandemic phase PROTECT

unfortunately i can't answer your queries i'm sorry :(

but if i come across anything i'll let you know. maybe there is more data through one of the websites listed in the document?

Re: Australian Govt Media Updates- pandemic phase PROTECT

The number of people treated in hospital and/or ICU keeps going down gradually.

The number of deaths is still rising, as could be expected, the daily or weekly average seems to go down too.
