Australia’s national science agency has teamed up with American biotechnology giant Moderna to help boost the nation’s preparedness for pandemic and biosecurity threats.
The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) has entered a five-year partnership to bring together expertise to identify disease threats and develop countermeasures.
The CSIRO-Moderna Biosecurity Accelerator will combine CSIRO’s expertise in infectious disease and high containment research with Moderna’s mRNA technology, data science and development capabilities.
