An inspection of the city's cooling towers has failed to identify the source of the Legionnaires' outbreak encircling the Town Hall area.

Health authorities confirmed on Wednesday that they had inspected and sampled all cooling towers and other potential Legionella sources such as decorative fountains in an area stretching from Elizabeth Street to Clarence Street, and Bathurst Street to King Street...

Fears Sydney Legionnaires outbreak could have come from another source

There are fears an outbreak of legionnaires disease which started at a Sydney hospital could also have come from another unknown source.

Three people - two men aged 64 and 76, and an 85-year-old woman - have tested positive to the potentially fatal disease and all spent time in Kogarah, including around St George Hospital.

They began to show symptoms between March 22 and 26...

City of Sydney officials will continue testing water coolers in the CBD on Thursday following another outbreak of legionnaires' disease.

One person is fighting for their life and two others have been hospitalised since contracting the infection in the past week.
