Fifty people have died and almost 27,000 have been diagnosed with influenza in NSW this year, with no sign the flu season has reached its peak.

There were 3796 confirmed cases of flu in NSW last week alone, taking the total number of cases to 26,918 so far this year, according to the latest weekly NSW Health Influenza Surveillance report, released on Friday...
