Doctors briefed on scarlet fever cases

Health authorities in Geraldton say it is too early to say if they are dealing with an outbreak of the rare infection scarlet fever.

Last week, six year-old Sebastian Parman died of heart failure after his scarlet fever went undiagnosed for several days.

The department has confirmed a second six-year-old boy has the infection but say he is recovering well following treatment...
