Second case of dengue fever confirmed in Mareeba

A SECOND case of dengue fever has emerged in Mareeba, where the mosquito borne disease has previously been uncommon.
Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service has confirmed that a second patient has been diagnosed with locally acquired dengue, following a woman who fell ill with the disease earlier this month.
