Three new cases of swine flu detected in Peshawar
PESHAWAR, Nov 27: At least three new cases of swine flu have been detected in Peshawar. All three patients who have contracted the virus are staffers at the Hayat Medical Complex.
According to Aftab Durrani, the Medical superintendent of Hayat Mecial Complex, the total number of H1N1 cases in NWFP has now risen to six. An Afghan national had already died due to the virus in the province, while one more swine flu patient is under treatment at a local hospital in Peshawar.
Doctors in NWFP said there are no vaccines available in any of the major hospitals across the province. Meanwhile, the World Health Organisatrion has given assurance that vaccines will be provided in the province at the end of November.
