Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr E. Mammadov / World Health Organization took preventive measures against bird flu in Salyan.

During the arrangement that was hold in №3 School of Salyan region electronic stands illustrating the meaning of the bird flu were demonstrated to the students and the teachers.

The representatives of the Organization noted that children are most sensitive for the disease and they should be restricted in contact with birds. The students got booklets with preventive regulations afterwards.

Up to now 8 people caught bird flu with 5 of them died and 4 being children under 18.

This last statement appears to be out of date.
The last two highly suspected cases were negative.
Can any one confirm this. Thanks AZ.

The statement was on the positive cases, not the negative ones.
