"Synopsis (Week 48):
Influenza-like illness (ILI) and pneumonia and influenza (P&I) incidence rates increased from last week. The percent of all outpatient visits due to ILI for service members (SMs) and beneficiaries remained relatively similar to last week and were just above baseline percents and were similar to previous season percents. There have been 1041 reportable medical event (RME) influenza cases (36.8% had been vaccinated against seasonal influenza and none were vaccinated against novel H1N1) among SMs since week 40 (compared to 17 cases last season). An additional 1662 cases in total have been reported among other beneficiaries...RME date is also reported. Counts for all regions and services are presented."
