During the previous two weeks, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) activity continued to be low. RSV activity highlights:
?One laboratory-confirmed case of RSV was reported last week; five cases were reported in the previous three weeks and 3,459 laboratory-confirmed cases of RSV were reported during the 2009-2010 season.
?Two counties reported lab-confirmed cases of RSV during the previous three weeks; 14 of 15 counties reported lab-confirmed cases of RSV during the 2009-2010 season.
?The cases included in this report only reflect laboratory-confirmed cases that have been reported to the health department. There may be additional cases in the community that have not been tested.
