Autoridades San Juan confirmed seven cases of St. Louis encephalitis (ESL), an acute viral disease that affects the central nervous system transmitted by mosquitoes that bite birds, sparrows and chickens, so Public Health advised the population to prevent the proliferation of insects.
Diagnostics began reporting for 20 days and the San Juan government, through the laboratory of the National Institute of Epidemiology, confirmed a seventh case of the disease that produces inflammation of the brain after high fever.
