Two people were killed by influenza A in San Juan, where another 20 remain admitted affected by disease, today confirmed health officials in the province, and reported that the fatalities belonged to groups at risk of contracting the condition. The Technical Secretary of the Ministry of health of San Juan, Mauricio D?az, said that the deaths occurred last week and said that none of the two deceased people had received the flu vaccine. Official said that one of them was a woman of more than 80 years. 'There are more cases and they will follow for this vacation,' said Diaz in declarations to the local press, and said that 'the transit of people and these low temperatures influence the increase of cases'. The two deaths reported in San Juan raised to 38 the number of deaths by influenza in the country that far in the year, of which 13 were reported in Buenos Aires province, 9 in C?rdoba, Santa Fe 5, 3 in Black River, 2 in Capital Federal, 2 in San Juan, Catamarca, 1 1 in La Pampa1 in Mendoza and 1 in La Rioja.
