Another H1N1 Death Confirmed In Manitoba

Two people have now died after contracting H1N1 in the second wave of the flu in Manitoba.
The second death is an adult between the ages of 18 and 65 and Manitoba Health says the person had " no underlying conditions."

The health department has not released any other details, including the person's gender or approximate age.
Dr. Joel Kettner, the province's Chief Medical Officer of Health, says the department is planning to release more information later today.

Health officials say the person who died had a lab confirmed case of H1N1.
The first death this fall was that of someone who had an underlying health conditions.

WINNIPEG ? Another Manitoban has died from swine flu.

It's the second confirmed death in the province from the H1N1 virus this fall and the ninth this year.

Health officials say the victim was an adult who had no apparent underlying medical conditions.
The province's chief medical officer, Dr. Joel Kettner, says the death is still being investigated.

Kettner says he wants people to remember that the flu poses some risk to everyone, not just high-risk groups.

A steady supply of the flu vaccine is coming in, and flu clinics are continuing to be open to the general public.
