Covid-19: 27 more cases in Angola and Hu?la joins the affected provinces

Angola recorded 27 new cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours, of which one in Hu?la, which became the 14th Angolan province affected by the disease
Angola has registered 27 new cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours, of which one in Hu?la, which became the 14th Angolan province affected by the disease, announced the Secretary of State for Public Health.
According to Franco Mufinda, who today presented the data in the daily epidemiological balance, in addition to Hu?la, another case was diagnosed in Cuanza Norte (Cazengo municipality, which is under a sanitary fence), with the remaining 25 in Luanda.
Those infected are between 1 and 74 years old, 14 of whom are male and 13 are female.
Two people were also recovered.
Franco Mufinda also presented the territorial distribution of covid-19 in Angola: Luanda with 1,700 cases is in the phase of community transmission, Cuanza Norte with 18 cases of local transmission, Zaire with 14 cases, Cabinda with nine, Bengo and Cuanza Sul with five cases , Cunene with three imported cases, Benguela with two imported, and U?je, Lunda Norte, Malanje, Bi?, Moxico and Hu?la all with one imported case.
Only four provinces have not yet been affected: Namibe, Cuando Cubango, Lunda Sul and Huambo.
In total, Angola diagnosed 1,762 infections, of which 80 resulted in deaths, 577 patients recovered and 1,105 are in the active phase of the disease, of which five are in critical condition and 21 in serious condition.
The Secretary of State also informed that an epidemiological study was carried out on the 100 cases reported on Sunday, August 9, which concluded that 30 are workers in the oil industry in rotation with the Block 3 platforms.
According to the same official, public health measures were taken with screening and testing, and those infected are already in Luanda receiving medical care, and due monitoring of these people's contacts is being carried out.
In the next 48 hours the withdrawal of workers from the platforms should end.
