Seasonal diseases on the rise

HYDERABAD: With the chill setting in with the start of the winter season, the city is reportedly witnessing a spurt in communicable diseases.
The number of fever, cough and cold patients at the Government Fever Hospital has been rising and city doctors say there has been around 20 percent increase in seasonal disease cases this time.
Dr BSV Manjula, superintendent, Government Fever Hospital told Expresso that as many as 25 seasonal diseases including diarrhoea and fever cases are being reported per day.
There has also been a spurt in cases of jaundice and air-borne diseases in the twin cities.
Seasonal changes has led to fever-related cases crossing the 200-mark at the Fever Hospital
