Two die, 20 hospitalised after diarrhoea outbreak

Two persons died and 20 others fell ill following suspected diarrhoea outbreak in Karimnagar district, officials said here on Wednesday. Kalva Gallemma (78) and E Venkati (70) of Dulikatta village in Eligaid mandal suffering from stomach ache and vomitings since Tuesday died while undergoing treatment at Karimnagar
civil hospital on Wednesday. District medical and health officer K Nageswar Rao along with a team of health officials rushed to the village to provide medical aid.

Dulikatta in Eligaid mandal is still in the grip of diarrhoea.
One more death case was registered on Monday in addition to the four persons who died due to suspected diarrhoea in the last one week.
Iruguralla Srinivas (25) died while receiving treatment at MGM hospital in Warangal.
He was admitted to the hospital a week ago when there was diarrhoea outbreak in the village.

Diarrhoea which erupted a couple of days ago at Chavani Tanda of Sivapur gram panchayat in Jukkal mandal remains unabated with half-a-dozen people who suffered vomiting and motions undergoing treatment at the locally arranged medical camp.
An eight-year-old baby Paru Bhai died of gastroenteritis in the tribal hamlet two days back. A total of 15 tribal people fell sick and were admitted to different hospitals with the complaints of motions and vomiting after enjoying a feast.
