ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Local officials expect H1N1 swine flu vaccine to arrive in Anchorage in early November.
The city's director of Health and Human Services, Diane Ingle, says the school district will be a major partner with the city in the vaccine's distribution. Vaccines will be available for kids at various school sites.
"We will be either supplementing at those sites in the late afternoon, early evenings for those families," Ingle said.
The department says children over the age of 10 will likely only need one flu vaccine, for H1N1.
The city is also encouraging people to get seasonal flu shots, which are already available throughout the city.
