JALPAN DE SERRA, Qro.- Autoridades del sector salud en el estado de Querétaro emitieron una alerta epidemiológica, con la finalidad de tratar de localizar casos de dengue entre la población que vive en localidades de la Sierra Gorda.

La decisión de la Secretaría de Salud se tomó al confirmarse que en localidades de los estados vecinos hay brotes de esta enfermedad.


La alerta sanitaria se envió a todas las unidades médicas de la región incluyendo la atención médica privada, para la búsqueda intencionada de casos con fiebre, que pudieran reunir las características de dengue.


En los municipios queretanos catalogados de riesgo de contagio, como lo son Arroyo Seco, Jalpan de Serra y Landa de Matamoros, la Secretaría de Salud envió personal adscrito al "Programa de Vectores", que mantiene vigilancia permanente por cuanto hace a la población del mosquito responsable del contagio.


Dicha vigilancia se decidió incrementar a partir de la emisión de la alerta sanitaria, difundida oficial y formalmente la noche de este jueves.


A principios de septiembre se eliminaron criaderos de mosquito en los depósitos de agua, empleándose el larvicida denominado comercialmente "Abate", que precisamente se emplea para el control de las larvas del mosquito transmisor del dengue.


Veracruz, primer lugar nacional
Por entidad, de acuerdo al reporte de la Secretaría de Salud, los casos de dengue que se han reportado son 121 en San Luis Potosí; Hidalgo 119; Michoacán 183; Veracruz dos mil 807; y Tamaulipas 121.


El estado de Veracruz ocupa el primer lugar nacional en el número de casos de dengue y se han presentado brotes epidemiológicos a lo largo y ancho del territorio estatal, incluso en regiones rurales donde jamás se habían registrado.


El presidente de la Comisión de Salud del Congreso del Estado, Sergio Méndez Mahé, reveló que Veracruz ocupa el primer lugar a nivel nacional con un total de 7 mil personas afectadas -6 mil 821 de clásico y 331 de hemorrágico.

El Secretario de Salud reconoció que ha habido "brotes" en diferentes partes del estado, desde el norte hasta en comunidades del sur, donde nunca había pasado la enfermedad, empero sólo reconoce más de tres mil casos de dengue en el presente año.
