Coronavirus: Albania, 7 new cases confirmed, rises to 773 number of infections


Tirana, 30 Apr 12:29 - (Nova Agency) - In Albania 7 new cases of Covid 19 have been registered in the last 24 hours: the Albanian Ministry of Health has announced. The number of infected people therefore rises to 773. Of the new cases, 3 were detected in Tirana which remains the main outbreak of the epidemic with a total of 321 cases. The updated data reveal a stable number of inpatients, 36 patients, one of whom is in serious health and another 6 in intensive care. The number of people recovered has risen to 470, remaining higher than that currently positive, 272. There are 6 cities where all the people who had contracted the virus have now recovered

Cases rise to 832

595 people have recovered from COVID-19 and there are 206 active cases. 36 active cases are hospitalised and eight remain in intensive care. The rest are being monitored by the family doctor or are asymptomatic.

The geographical distribution of active cases, is as follows: Tirana (98), Kruja (69), Shkoder (16), Kamez (6), Kurbin (4), Elbasan (3), Fier (3), Mirdite (2), Berat (2), Korce (1), Lezhe (1).

A total of 31 people have lost their lives to COVID-19, 18 in Tirana, 6 in Durres, 3 in Fier, 1 in Vlora, 2 in Shkoder, and 1 in Kukes.
