GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - After two bald eagles mysteriously passed away in Guntersville, those who spend hours observing the birds of prey are fearing avian flu may be the cause.

In 2024, 116,000 chickens at a Cullman County poultry farm were destroyed after exposure to the virus. While the State Veterinarian says that the outbreak has been contained, bird watchers in Guntersville are not so sure.​..
