Alabama - Auburn University reports first monkeypox case after student tests positive for disease - September 26, 2022

An Auburn student tested positive for monkeypox over the weekend, the university’s first case of the disease.

The student, who was not publicly identified, is isolating outside of the Auburn area, the university said Monday. Their close contacts have been identified and notified.

A local doctor reported the case.
