Auburn University student diagnosed with meningitis

An Auburn University student has been diagnosed with meningococcal meningitis, the school's department of public safety announced late Tuesday night.
The undergraduate student was admitted to an out-of-town hospital near his home, the school said.
"We want to let you know that we are working closely with the Auburn University Medical Clinic to identify any students that may have had close contact with the student and may need preventive antibiotics," the school said in the announcement on its website...
