The International Airport of Mexico City is preparing the country to prevent diseases such as cholera, yellow fever, malaria, malaria, measles and influenza from Central and South America and Florida, among others.
Throughout the area of International Health passengers coming from countries like the Dominican Republic, Haiti and those where a connection is made for entry into Mexico are subject to questionnaires about your health.
The City Health Secretary, Francisco Osuna, said the health check is designed to detect symptoms of epidemiological risk.
He said that currently has not encountered a single case of cholera or other disease in public and private hospitals of the city, but said the risk is latent for easy transmission of these diseases.
So far 626 flights have been revised from Central and South America to detect cholera and interviewed 4,106 passengers, but has not found a single case, he said.
However, he said, continues to epidemiological surveillance due to the amount of sick and dead of cholera cases in Haiti.
The International Health Unit works with customs, immigration, Federal Police and the management of Technology and the Institute of Respiratory Diseases, among others, and with all airlines, which are required to cooperate and report.
