Comments :
During this period in 2015 (week 1-53), a total 27,404
suspected cases of meningitis have been notified with
1,933 deaths (lethality rate: 7.1 %).
At the same period in 2014, 21,641 suspected cases
with 1,903 deaths had been notified with a case
fatality rate of 8.8%.
For more reactivity the alert threshold has been
revised and changes for next season to 3 cases per
100,000 inhabitants*.
