Mexico City - Even since last year declared the end of the epidemiological alert for influenza A H1N1, during 2011 the country recorded 27 deaths from the disease.
Until July this year had confirmed 188 cases of transmission of the virus, according to the Fifth Report of the government of President Felipe Calderon.
The report says the states with the largest number of cases this year are Chihuahua, Mexico City and Baja California.
The deaths, as occurred in Chihuahua, Baja California, Mexico City, Zacatecas and Mexico City.
The health section of the report indicates that between March and April this year "there were flares of influenza A H1N1 virus in some regions," which forced the Health Secretariat (SSA) to use 685,300 doses of the reserve of the vaccine that remains from the past six years.
"By not having it, could not assist the states in this contingency," he says.
