Special Report: World tackles A/H1N1 flu |

Health authorities have found a mutation of the A/H1N1 virus in Macao. They say it was discovered in the region's first A/H1N1 death --- a 40-year-old woman who died in September.

Health officials say the virus mutation is the same as some other countries have discovered. Health officials in the SAR are keeping in close contact with the World Health Organization and a close eye on its spread. The WHO says the A/H1N1 vaccine is still effective in protecting people from being infected with the virus mutation.
