Algiers- Fifty-six new cases of A/H1N1 influenza have been confirmed, including three deaths, bringing to 445 and 19 the overall number of confirmed cases and deaths recorded so far in the country, the Ministry of Health, Population and Hospital Reform announced on Friday.

The three deaths concern a 40-year-old male (T?bessa, 460 km east of Algiers) suffering from a cardiac pathology, a 41-year-old pregnant woman (Algiers) admitted to hospital with an acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), and a 33-year-old lady (Algiers) suffering from ARDS, chronic diseases, the source added in a release.
