96 New H1N1 Cases in India

Re: 96 New H1N1 Cases in India

Even if the 37 cases in Pune are removed because of the outbreaks in schools the remaining 59 would still be a major jump. India has been reporting numbers of 20 or less in their daily updates.

Re: 96 New H1N1 Cases in India

It should be noted that although the latest report has a high number of contact cases, signaling transmission within India, virtually all of these outbreaks are linked to travels or contacts of known cases. There is no indoaction of routine screening to identify the true number of cases in India, which are likely to be orders of magnitude higher than the confirmed cases identified via VERY limited surveillance.
