Pachuca, Hidalgo .- It has implemented 95 percent of the 550 000 influenza vaccines arrived in Hidalgo. State Health Secretary, Jorge Islands, explained that he met the immunization goals envisaged by the public response.
"However, we are managing more vaccines to protect people Hidalgo until the completion of the winter period," he said.
Since the last months of last year, the agency applied the biological target groups: pregnant women, health workers, and children under 2 years.
The official also pointed out that caring for those with cancer, hypertension, diabetes, asthma, HIV patients, morbidly obese, the elderly and patients with a transplant surgery.
Pregnant women need to be vaccinated, as are 6 times more likely to contract the H1N1 influenza virus to anyone else.
Islands mentioned that health staff placed special emphasis on those with respiratory infections cases to rule that the case of influenza and to be vaccinated until they are replaced.
"But hospitals and health centers are open to whoever wishes to be immunized against H1N1 influenza, should only apply. Whether it is within the risk group or not, to protect against the virus."
