Two more sailors have tested positive for the coronavirus aboard the USNS Mercy, a Navy hospital ship docked at the Port of Los Angeles, making for three crew members who have been taken to shore and into isolation.
One crew member tested positive on Thursday, April 9, and another had a confirmed positive test returned on Friday, April 10, said Navy Lt. Joe Pfaff.
The three are being isolated in a military medical facility. Any crew members who had contact the sailors have also been isolated and removed from the ship.

Seven crew members on the U.S. Navy hospital ship docked in Los Angeles have tested positive for the coronavirus, the Navy said.
The medical treatment facility crew members from the USNS Mercy who contracted the virus have been put in isolation off the ship, the Navy said in a statement.
People they are believed to have been in close contact with are also quarantined off the ship, the statement said. All but one of those people have tested negative for the virus, with the exception being the Mercy’s fifth COVID-19 case.... https://thehill.com/policy/defense/4...or-coronavirus

The Navy has removed 126 medical staff members from its hospital ship docked off Los Angeles after seven of them tested positive for COVID-19, an official said Tuesday.
The personnel from the USNS Mercy were taken to a nearby base and remain under quarantine. None so far has needed hospitalization, said Lt. Rochelle Rieger of the 3rd Fleet.
