Mexico, October 19 .- The Health Secretary Jose Angel Cordova Villalobos reported that the general occupation of the hospitals in this capital by influenza A (H1N1) is about 50 percent.
Interviewed after directing his message at the inauguration ceremony of the general director of the National Institute of Genomic Medicine, Javier Soberon Mainer, said that there is enough space to serve these patients in case of an increase in the cases of the new virus from the cold .
He said that undoubtedly there is more demand in hospitals such as the Specials and the National Institutes of Respiratory Diseases and Nutrition.
He commented that one should not let our guard down at any time to prevent and contain any infection with influenza A (H1N1), since in principle the cold that has unfolded in recent days could influence the increase in cases.
However, he said he no longer thinks much of this virus since it is assumed that the cold winter season and making boom has yet been developed throughout the summer.
He said that despite the above in the coming months that is between the full winter season is expected that new cases of human influenza virus increase.
Health Secretary reiterated that have hired 30 million doses of new vaccine against influenza A (H1N1) and arrive in late December the first eight million, a further eight million in January and 14 million more in February and March.
Elsewhere in the interview Cordova Villalobos referred to the dengue situation in the country and recognized that due to the
rainfall mainly caused by cyclones, has increased 20 per cent of cases compared to last year.
Happily settled that cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever have not increased in this magnitude and no deaths from this type of dengue, and even deaths are much less compared to last year. (Con informaci?n de Notimex / GCE)
