An 82-year-old Santa Barbara County woman with underlying medical issues has died from the H1N1 flu, also known as the swine flu.

The woman had been hospitalized since earlier this month.

County officials did not announce her name or where she lived.

It is the second swine-flu related death this week. A 4-year-old boy, who also had underlying medical conditions, died from the virus over the weekend, county officials reported Monday.

A 3-year-old Santa Barbara County girl who contracted the H1N1 virus earlier this year also died from the illness.
